4040 & 8040 Stainless Steel Membrane Housing Supplier

Shandong Ningchuan Water Treatment Equipment Co., Ltd. supplies and manufactures stainless steel membrane housings (membrane pressure vessels) for 4040 and 8040 reverse osmosis, nanofiltration and ultrafiltration elements. Housings are produced in our own workshop in Linyi, Shandong, and pressure-tested before every shipment.

A membrane housing holds the membrane element and keeps feed water on the correct side of the membrane under high pressure. Vessel quality matters: poor welds, an uneven inner surface or a mismatched O-ring groove lead to leaks, bypass and a shortened membrane life.

We build side-entry and end-entry vessels in SS304 and SS316L, for 1 to 6 elements, with victaulic clamp or side-port closure — matched to the standard 4-inch and 8-inch membrane elements used worldwide.

  • SS304 / SS316L stainless steel, seamless tube construction
  • 4040 (4 inch) and 8040 (8 inch) — 1 to 6 membrane elements per vessel
  • Max. working pressure 300 PSI (2.1 MPa); 600 / 1000 PSI on request
  • Side-port (side entry) or end-port closure with victaulic coupling
  • Mechanical polish Ra ≤ 0.8 µm, interior and exterior
  • EPDM O-ring with NSF certificate; Viton available for aggressive feeds
  • Adapters, thrust rings and locking plates supplied to complete the assembly
  • Pressure-tested and leak-checked before shipment

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from overseas buyers about stainless steel membrane housing supplier — click a question to expand.

Are you a membrane housing manufacturer or a trading company?

We are a manufacturer with our own workshop in Linyi, Shandong, China. We produce stainless steel membrane housings, filter housings, bag filter housings and water tanks in-house and supply them factory-direct.

What is the difference between a 4040 and an 8040 membrane housing?

4040 refers to a 4-inch diameter, 40-inch long membrane element — used in small to medium RO systems. 8040 refers to an 8-inch diameter, 40-inch long element — used in large industrial plants. Each vessel can hold 1 to 6 elements; more elements per vessel means fewer connections and lower installation cost.

SS304 or SS316L — which should I choose?

SS304 suits most municipal and industrial water and brackish-water RO. Choose SS316L for aggressive or high-chloride feeds such as seawater desalination, and for food, dairy and pharmaceutical duty, where better corrosion resistance and a smoother finish are required.

Can the housings take high pressure?

Our standard vessels are rated to 300 PSI (2.1 MPa) working pressure. For high-pressure seawater or special processes we build 600 PSI and 1000 PSI versions on request. Every vessel is pressure-tested before it leaves the factory.

Do you supply adapters, end caps and O-rings?

Yes — head sealing assemblies, sealing plates, thrust rings, adapters, end caps, locking plates, permeate outlets and mounting clamps can all be supplied with the housing, so your assembly arrives complete.

What is your MOQ and lead time?

We accept trial orders from 1 piece. Standard sizes ship in about 10–20 working days; custom lengths, ports and pressure ratings take 20–30 working days. Send us your element size, number of elements and feed-water data, and we will quote the right vessel.
